Addie...my trooper

 

So Add and I have been home bound since sat night. Addie has been SOO sick. It first started out with Croup (for the second time in 7 months!) So for the first night she was up ALL night trying hard to breathe. And she had a hard "barking" cough that made her cry out in pain. We had to take her outside in the cold night air to open up her throat as much as possible. Some how we made it through... then the next day Croup was gone but a fever had started up and she now had Whooping cough. She couldn't go five minutes without an attack. I felt so bad for her... I just tried to make her as comfortable as possible. Lets just say we have watched A LOT of Elmo lately. Her appetite is gone and she just lays in my arms with red, droopy eyes. But today is finally better! My little trooper is almost threw it. She still has a cough and isn't hungry. (she is wasting away...) Luckily the 5+ medications have started working. I took this picture this morning when she still didn't feel that hot. But here she was, putting my headband on and dancing to the music. I guess no illness can take the silliness out of my little one!! :) Hopefully tonight the whole house can get some much needed sleep......
