Jackon Hole

We just got home from celebrating our 4 year wedding anniversary in Jackson Hole, WY. Our first day we went down the rapids on the Snake River. It was really fun but really cold too. It rained half the time and was only 55 degrees. THANKFULLY they let us use their wet suit jackets! They were life savers! I don't have pictures of us rafting because I didn't bring my camera. But it was really fun and something different to do.

Then we went on an aerial tram ride up to one of the highest mountains. It was an amazing view from the top. We could see the Grand Tetons really well too. So peaceful and quite up there on the "top of the world" ! :)

First modeling photo shoot..

We were at the slash park last week and this photographer was taking pictures to advertise for the company that does the flooring at the splash park. He asked me if he could photograph Addie since she's so cute! :) Then he promised to email me a copy. I didn't think he actually would but here they are. No face shots but they turned out cute anyway.

The 4th and Cupcakes!

We had a great 4th of July! We were with lots of family, it was an extended family reunion on my mom's side. We had a lot of family in from other states. This sweet little girl with Addie is Ava, my cousin's daughter. Add is only 2 months older so they had a great time together. The funniest was when Addie fed her a cupcake. They took turns taking the biggest bites they could back and forth. Addie is quite a fan

of cupcakes I must say! :) We'll miss you Ava!!

Summer adventures begin..

Last week we went to the zoo with my friend Angela and her 2 boys. Addie had so much fun! She has really been into animals this year. Her favorite show to watch is Madagascar. She asks for it mutiple times a day. But of course she doesn't call it by name. She just says " Raaarrrrr". Ya know like a lion. It's been fun with all her interest in animals I can teach her so many new things about them now.


Check out how giraffes sleep...doesn't look too comfy to me. Addie kept pointing at it saying, "night, night".

Add loves to rock the shades these days. Every time we go outside she tells me it's bright and that she needs her glasses.

She wasn't too sure about sitting on the big elephant statue... she was serious about not wanting a picture there I guess..

nature

We went up to the mountains a few weeks ago for a BBQ with our ward. Addie and her friend Emma had a great time. They ran everywhere together and went exploring. It was a nice change of scenery up in the mountains.

I just couldn't wait..

I put Addie's hair is sponge rollers last week. Her hair isn't that long or thick yet but I wanted to give it a try anyway. She totally just stood there and let me put them in. I thought she looked so cute with curlers in her hair.. like a little old lady. haha

Her hair curled a little but it really needs to grow. I can't complain though.. She has TONS more hair then she did last summer!

Addie's Playroom

I am finally done decorating the playroom for now. I still want Josh to put up be-board on the lower half of the wall. But who knows when he will have time to do that. So for now it's completed. Addie LOVES it in here! She plays in here by herself if I'm busy and has a ball messing it up and playing with her babies. I love having the basement finished so we could have the extra room up stairs to make a play room for her. I love that all the toys and the mess stays in one room.. for the most part.

She seems to give me this looks quite often.. haha

I found Addie like this in her room. She had put her babies up on the rocking chair.. got a few books then climbed in herself. She was "reading" to her babies! I thought it was totally cute because she hasn't done that before. I guess all the reading her and I do in that chair really does sink in.

sUmmEr LoVE!

This is what Addie does every day now! Play in the backyard pool for hours it seems like! She thinks it's the greatest thing and so do I because she thinks going down the tiny slide is the most fun ever! Sometimes I get in the pool with her and go down the slide (can barely get a butt cheek on) and she laughs and laughs at me! We are loving summer already!!

We are back.....

We recently got home from a vacation to Richmond, Virgina to visit my big sister and her family. We had a great time. I absolutly love how green it is there.. but you do pay a price with the humidity!

We went to Virginia Beach one day and it was super windy. It was too cold to get in but I got some cute pictures of Addie posing with the beach in the background. She was such a trooper during the trip. She had two teeth cut through the gums while we were there. OUCH!

Me and my sis, Candace chilling at the airport. And yes I have extensions in this day. I was trying them out for fun. But they didn't stay in very well so they didn't look good for very long...

Addie's hair got SOO curly with all the humid air!! I loved it! I couldn't stop commenting on the long, curly locks! I miss them!

My sister, Janell graduated with her Bachelor's in Creative Advertising. It was so great to be able to be there and see it all go down! She is such a cute little graduate!! We are so proud of her for working SO hard to get to this point! Go sista!

Addie also got to play with her only cousin. Parker was so fun! They laughed, ran, rough-housed, and pretty much went crazy with each other. It was really fun to watch them interact! Addie loves Parker and I know she misses him. They really became great buddies over that weekend.

Here are us sisters! It's pretty rare that we get a picture with all three of us. I thought this was funny.. I don't even know what we are all laughing about. But this pic is totally us! :) We had a fun time and totally miss you Janell, Jeremy, and Parker! We love you!!

My Mother's Day

We had a great day this sunday... Josh actually had to give a talk in church about mom's. We invited his family to come listin and it was nice having them there. Josh said really nice things about his mom and how much he loves her. He also talked about Addie and I a lot! It was so cool to hear him talk about us in such a loving way, it made us feel really special! And Josh and Addie got me a spa pass so I can pamper myself because of all the hard work I do with Addie. Actually it's more like PLAYING with Addie then work. :) I am so blessed to have her in my life. She made me a mommy and I really couldn't be happier! She makes my days complete! Love you happy, baby girl!

FRiEnDs

Addie loves her friend Emma. They act so silly together it always cracks me up. Emma is almost 3 and Addie is 20 mths. They play together like they are practically the same age. I thought these pictures turned out cute of them playing the other day while we got to watch Emma for bit. It's hard to get them both to look at the camera because they are always looking at each other and laughing. I love these girls! I hope they can be friends for a LONG time!
